Kopper is by the rapids on the river flowing through Fiskars, right in the middle of the old ironworks area.
The name comes from the building, the Old Copper Smithy, Koppersmedjan in Swedish. After the production of copper items ceased, the old smithy became the place where Fiskars' now classic orange-handled scissors were made for the first time in 1967. Today it contains something quite different, but there are still things that are similar – products of quality and fresh ideas.
